Have you watched 'Good Witch' TV Show?

#GoodWitch  #TVShows

It says it is a supernatural drama, well with the name being 'Good Witch' but apparently it is not. It is a sweet Rom-Com which just brings smile to face.

Simple yet beautiful, it is show about newly widowed Cassie Nightingale, played by Catherine Bell, and her life and her 'feelings'. When I say feelings I mean she has very strong intuitive sense and she uses it to help all other people in the quiet town Middleton. Her daughter Grace, Bailee Madison, inherits her intuitive sense and discovers her gifts with help of her mother.
The show also revolves around Cassie's developing relationship with her new neighbor Sam, James Denton. Sam is the only doctor in Middleton and it is exciting to see their beautiful chemistry.

The other characters of the show bring about a charm too. The mayor Martha, Bistro owner Steph and few others add life.

Every episode has a beautiful message to convey and after watching all episodes that have been aired, I highly recommend this show to anyone who just wanna watch something simple and adorable.

Do give it a try. Click here for its Wikipedia page.

Lots of love.

House of Cards S5 is Manipulative and Full of Power Hunger

#HOConZCafe

When thinking of 'House of Cards' show, the first thing that comes to mind is Politics. Yes the show is about politics but it is also turning into terrorism -no, not the kind that blows up our homes with bombs, but of the kind that creates chaos and menace in a slow and steady fashion.

I have been watching this show for quite some time now and it has always been a kickass show. It always keeps us on our toes and leaves us hanging in anticipation of 'what will happen next?' The way it introduces characters - so many times they are dark and shady, it gives a perfect glimpse of what might be happening in the world that we are totally unaware about. It also dictates how people do foul play, just to get into the seat.

Each season mesmerizes viewers more. And the way people come into power and the way they fall out is most impressive.

However, what is most impressive is the lead character, Frank Underwood. You hate him so much but you love him at the same time. You want Claire to be with him, yet you want them separated. It is the beauty of these characters that keeps us totally hooked to the show.

I don’t want to put in spoilers, but election of Donald Trump has put the show even in high gears. While reading about Trump and watching Underwood, you can’t help but consider the similarities both have. I was stumped with similar strategies as well. The minds, the ruthlessness, the intolerance makes this show even more realistic now.

Overall, it is a fascinating and a mind blowing show. And now, the wait is finally over as Season 5 has released and it is impressing the world with each episode. I have watched Episode 1 and it is even more ruthless and terrorizing then ever. If I can say, it is dominating the world with its manipulation and power-hunger. A must watch...

If you have not watched the show yet, I would strongly recommend that you do. And please start with Season 1 and not with Season 5. Well, you can watch Season 5 directly but you might miss out on the charm of how Underwood actually got into power. And if you have watched all 4 seasons, don’t wait up and watch it starting this weekend.

So, set your timetables right because Frank Underwood is coming to India with the television premiere of House Of Cards Season 5 on Saturday, 3rd June, 5 PM onwards, only on Zee Café.

I hope you are going to watch it, because I am.

Enjoy.

Movie - Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

#Movies

For quite sometime I have been looking for a light-hearted children fantasy movie which is nothing but entertainment. I have watched Harry Potter, Narnia, LOTR etc. multiple times and wanted something new and 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' was most definitely what I wanted. :)

Although released in September 2016, I got the chance to watch it only now and I am disappointed that I couldn't watch it on big-screen.

Talking about plot, it revolves around Miss Peregrine (played by Eva Green) and Jake (played by Asa Butterfield).  It begins when Jake finds his grandfather mysteriously murdered and it changes everything in his life. From childhood his grandfather has told him stories about 'Peculiar children' i.e. children with some special abilities. And now, he sets on a path to find these children.
Miss Peregrine herself is a 'peculiar' and can manipulate time. The way it is shown is rather impressive.
There are many other characters in the movie as well and they have special abilities like one can float and manipulate air, one little girl can lift boulders, one boy is invisible etc.

The primary antagonist of the story is Mr. Barron who - how should I explain - is a rather dangerous man and travels with hollows. Honestly it is very difficult to explain this side so it will be better if you watch :P

Overall it is very good movie and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

My rating to the movie - 4.5/5.

Do watch it and let me know how you found it.

Stranger Things - A show worth watching...

#StrangerThings  #TVShows

I had watched this web series few months ago and I can't believe I forgot to write about it... :(

If you are a fan of sci-fi horror shows then it is the one... Honestly I won't call it horror per se but it is a good thriller show that will keep you on your toes.

Created by Duffer brothers, it is a Netflix show that revolves around mysterious disappearances in 1980s in a fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana - USA. There are 8 episodes in first season and second season with 9 episodes is due in 2017.

The story begins with mysterious disappearance of a 12 year old boy named Will Byers. The place 'Hawkins' is considered almost crime-free but ever since his disappearance crime-rate and mysterious activities increases alarmingly. His family, friends and police sheriff try their best to locate the boy but the biggest mystery is - Is he even on same dimension? And who (or What) has taken him? Will they be able to locate him alive? And even if they do, what is the danger they face?

Another twist that comes up in the show is the appearance of a 'strange and mysterious' girl called
'Eleven' who somehow has supernatural powers. She is a runaway (from a top-secret government organization) and meets with friends of Will. She is most incredible character of the show who speaks less and does more. Together they set on journey of finding Will (against the strict instructions of their parents).
The story is engrossing and each episode is thrilling - which reveals new aspect of Will's disappearance. You just can't stop yourself from watching the next episode. Thankfully it is only 8 episodes as it really grows over you and I remember finishing all 8 on a weekend. (Yes, later they haunted me in my sleep).

If you have already watched this show then you know what I mean and just like me, you are waiting for second season. If you have not watched it, you should give it a try... I am sure you will like it.

My rating to the show - 5/5. A must watch for lovers of this genre.

London has Fallen: Yes a One-Man Show but apparently it is Good.

#LondonHasFallen  #MovieReviews

The movie is the sequel of 'Olympus has fallen' movie. Where it's prequel didn't do much good, I found Olympus has fallen an average movie, I actually liked 'London has fallen' a lot more. I watched the movie for Gerard Butler and it was totally worth it.

Yes, the movie is a one-man show. It is unrealistic and ridiculous at so many places, i.e. where the entire London force has fallen and a man is able to kill everyone, but it has its own charm. When I was watching the movie I was only into the moment. It is a fast-paced movie where you see action, drama and thriller. Many people are criticizing it and rating it low for same reason, but what I fail to understand is that how is it different to James Bond movie or MI series? There too it is a one-man show and personally, I love them too :)
However what I find hilarious is that, where so many world leaders have fallen, in the end it is all about American President in London. Well, it is Hollywood movie so I guess that is justified.

Also I read that many people are saying that it is racist. I and a lot of people who watched it didn't think so. There is terrorism in certain parts of the world and that is used as a plot. I don't know if there are any hidden political agendas but to me it is as simple as any other action movie.

In terms of casting, there are two important characters: Gerard Butler as Mike Banning, a Secret Service agent and Special Agent in charge of the Presidential Protection Division and Aaron Eckhart as Benjamin Asher, the President of the United States. They both have a done wonderful job. The acting is good and dialogue delivery is perfect. Rest all are support characters who fill in various blanks and they did a nice job too.

Overall I liked the  movie. If you are looking for an action packed drama with a good plot, then I am not sure what else you are looking for.

Hope my review helps. Do share your views if you feel otherwise.

Lucifer: A devil who hails detectiveness

#TVShows #Lucifer

When I read about Lucifer on internet I wasn't much intrigued. I am a huge fan of fiction, fantasy & Sci-fi shows but this one didn't click. I thought that it would like any other crime drama but I was so Wrong...

My hubby made me watch it and I am glad he did. It is hilarious, interesting and with a mix of devil in it. There have been four episodes so far and all had extreme punches that would make you laugh out loud. The opening credit of show includes following words, "In the beginning, The angel Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and condemned to rule Hell for all eternity. Until he decides to take vacation." The basic story line is, Lucifer - the favourite son of God was the Hell-king but he got bored and now he owns a high-end club in Los Angeles. He also has a significant charm of women and has a super-power to bring out the person's deepest desire. The way his power is portrayed is brilliant - watching the show you yourself begin to think 'what is your deepest desire'

Tom Ellis played the role of Lucifer Morningstar (the name given by God himself) and he does a splendid job in it.The dialogue delivery, mannerism and acting is perfect, totally suits the angel-cum-devil character. And not to mention he is an eye-candy. The female lead is Lauren German i.e.Chloe Decker in the show, she is LAPD officer and finds herself with an unwanted devil partner. The chemistry between the two is weird but desirable and you definitely feel the inclination. The cutest character of the show is Scarlett Estevez i.e. Beatrice in the show. She is the daughter of Chloe and the relationship between Lucifer and Beatrice is amazingly portrayed. There are some other regular characters in the show and they are fine - so far I feel their character is still being built.

The show airs every Monday and is signed for total of 13 episodes in Season 1. I hope that story stays interesting going forward as well and it gets signed for few more seasons.

Overall, it is a pretty fine show and you will enjoy it. It is not everyday you see a show where a devil is actually trying to do some good ;)

Hope you enjoy the show too.

Cheers and Love.

Humour + Super Hero - Dead pool takes it to a whole new level

#DeadPool  #MovieReviews

P.S. Spoilers ahead... (not many though :P)

They have taken hilarious to a whole new level. The punches and dialogues are mind-blowing. There were times when whole theatre was ringing with laughter and even in the grimmest situations, they made you laugh. Deadpool is the eighth instalment of the X-men series. Yes, it is part of X-men series but it does not star any of our favourite mutant heroes, maybe that's why they are promoting it accordingly.

The story revolves around a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary and is tricked into mutation. Although he becomes a superhero but is unable to return to his normal life due to his hideous skin condition. He is now looking for revenge and he is getting it in the funniest ways.

Ryan Reynolds plays the role of dead pool and has done an exceptional job. He has always been one of my favourite stars and I loved him in the movie. The dialogue delivery has been very good and not to mention the humour and action. Superb!
Ed Skrein played the role of Ajax who is the super villain in the movie. He is the  mutant with enhanced strength and an inability to feel pain. Many people will not agree but to me he was not an apt villain. He could have done a better job. Other side characters like Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Stefan Kapičić also did a good job. However, Ryan completely stole the show.

In my opinion, if you like super-hero movies, this one is a must go. And even if you dont but like good action and humour, this one should not be missed.

My rating: 4/5

Enjoy the movie.

Love and Cheers

TWD: Can't wait to watch it

#TVSeries  #TheWalkingDead

The Walking Dead returns with second half of season 6 this Sunday and I can't wait to watch it.

For those who watch it, you can understand the sentiment. The cliffhanger on which they left the first half of Season 6 was wow! I can't wait to see how they get out it this time. Although I am a little disappointed with how they ended with 'W' but new villain is intriguing. I hope they do pull "W" story a bit more. Don't want to put more spoilers here, so I will shut it :)

For those who have not watched it yet, OMG you are missing something awesome. Well, if you are scared of zombies and have a weak heart then yes you should skip it but otherwise it is a must watch show. Okay, you can claim that it is gross at some places but hey it has zombies, it is bound to be gross. But trust me once you have watched 2-3 episodes you will learn to avert your eyes at the right moments. Well, if you did watch first 2-3 episodes of the show, you won't be able to stop - Yes it is that good. What I really admire about it is the details with which they have perfected the zombies. Do you know they actually have a school where they teach actors to walk and growl like zombies? It's amazing.

As it is already clear from the title, the show is set in the post zombie apocalyptic world and it is about survival. It primarily revolves around a group of people and what's best is the way the characters are portrayed. Although they all belong to very different backgrounds, they care for each other, protect each other and even are willing to die for each other. Each season brings new challenge and each season takes it to the next level. It is safe to say - "wherever they go, all hell break loose".

The lead of the show is Andrew Lincoln and he does a good job. However at some places he loses it and really gets on your nerves but you can't blame him for that. It is the storyline and he definitely does a good job there. The other leads and my favorites are - Steven Yeun (Glenn) and Norman Reedus (Daryl), they are the life of the show.

I once read in one of the reviews before "only walking dead can revolve an episode around only 2 characters and pull it off" and it is very true. Because it is based on survival, the writers and creators have went to great lengths to make it real. They have done a fabulous job, you can actually feel the pain and struggle and fear.

Overall, like I said before, it is a wonderful show and a must watch. I would highly recommend it. My only word of caution would be don't watch it all in one go, you will start getting nightmares for it can get real heavy on mind.
Also, don't eat while you watch it, zombies, blood and food don't go - they didn't mix well with me at least.

I hope you like it  and enjoy it the way I do.

Cheers and Love.

Airlift Movie: A tragedy well portrayed

#Airlift  #MovieReviews

The movie of the year (so far) is Airlift. Given it is inspired by real incidences from Kuwait-Iraq war, the plot is not a surprise however having said that, it has been portrayed amazingly covering gory details and one can feel it was a terrible time for everyone (well except Iraqis).

The movie revolves around how the Indians, stuck in Kuwait at the time, suffered and survived the attack, The Iraqis armies invaded their homes and they resisted and managed. It also demonstrates the level of politics that has seeped in everywhere and how a government cares so less of its citizens (talking about both countries here, Kuwait and India). Yes, in the end all Indians do come back but you can see the struggle and pain of a common man to make that happen. What surprises me is that Air India did such a noble and commendable job in 1990s and no one mentions it or remembers it. It is a shame!

As we all know, Akshay Kumar is lead of the movie and after his deadly Singh is Bling movie he was due for a good one. His acting is exceptional and no one could have done a better job than him. Don't want to talk about the female lead, it was kind of a weird role. The acting of other people is also good & worth praising. The one actor who really stands out is Prakash Belawadi, he played the role of a cynical old man who is nothing but a complainer. His acting is up to such perfection that you yourself feel like slapping him for all his nuisance - it is commendable.

In terms of cinematography it is fine. Given the plot and motto of movie nothing great was expected.

Overall movie was too good however I am bit disappointed with the ending. The evacuation - the actual 'airlift' happened in a flick. The ending is very disrupt and could have been made much better.

My rating to the movie is 4/5

I thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope you enjoy it too.

Sense8: One hell of a show

#TVSeries   #Sense8

PS: The post contain some spoilers... not many but yes, a few :)

Sense8 is a science fiction drama web television series aired directly on Netflix and it is one hell of show.

The show revolves around eight strangers from across the globe and are connected in their minds, mentally and emotionally. They are referred to as 'sensates' in the show, hence the name Sense8. Imagine that one fine day you are not alone in your head and there is not just one but seven other people sharing your thoughts and feelings - sounds kind of creepy isn't it? But in the show it has been beautifully depicted.

The places to which these eight strangers belong to are Nairobi, Seoul, San Francisco, Chicago, New Mexico, Berlin, London and our beloved Mumbai. These are total strangers who suddenly start to live together in each other heads. The way they start having visions, the way  they start to accept each other and even get closer is wonderful. In some places you can actually feel what these sensates feel. Well, I don't want to dwell into it, you should watch it to know more.

The actors especially the sensates have done a fabulous job, my personal favourites are Max Riemelt (the Berlin guy) and Miguel Ángel Silvestre (the New Mexico guy). The girl from Mumbai is played by Tina Desai and she has done fine job as well. In recurrence we have Anupan Kher and Purab Kohli from India and they add a nice touch. Don't want to add too many spoilers but in a scene Purab Kohli dances on "tujhme rub dikhta hai" Indian song and it is hilarious... All Indians should watch that...

The cinematography is amazing and I guess it is one of only shows which is set across eight countries and they all marvellously distributed. The script writing is good too - the dialogues suit each of the country's cultures.

All in all, if you get a chance to watch it, do give it a try. But be careful, do not watch it with kids for it has some serious adult content in it.

I hope you enjoy the show as well.

The Shannara Chronicles: An undecidable show...

#TVReviews   #Shannara

I am a big fan of Teen Wolf, an MTV show and 'The Shannara Chronicles' was on constant promo loop with its new season premier - hence yes, I had to watch it :)

To start with, the show is based on "The Sword of Shannara Trilogy" by Terry Brooks.

It was a 2 hour premier and honestly I don't know if I am intrigued by it. The story line is good and fast-paced but it doesn't present with any wow theme. The setting of the show looks post-apocalyptic but no where in show has anything being mentioned. I guess it is just left to guess like what happened or how various races are ruling the Earth and etc.
The key races in show are - Elves (the most powerful ones), Druids (the magical ones), Trolls (the ugly ones), Demons (the not-so scary ones) and Humans (no comments there). What strikes me most about the show is it's resemblance to Lord of the Rings movies. Well, LOTR is one of its kind movie but the show looks like a loose adaptation in terms of background, theme, characters etc.

Talking about characters, the show has some popular cast which allows it a default fan base
(like Manu Bennett from Arrow, Hobbit etc., John Rhys-Davies aka Gimli in LOTR). The other characters are decent too and in terms of acting they all do a fine job. No where you feel they are not upto mark.

There are certain things which I found pretty disappointing in the show, to start with the main demon. It looked like a low rank, poor Orc. After watching so many shows it didn't do any magic on screen. Secondly, the jokes about elves-ears. If they were intended as a joke, they honestly didn't come across that way. And lastly, the fact men-will-be-men when it comes to a woman came across so easily (although it is a big fact but still)

The cinematography of the show is good and the scenic beauty it offers is amazing. Although on
certain instances I was reminded of movies like Avatar. Some scenes had striking resemblance. The effects in the show are good too

Overall, I can say it is light fantasy drama with no heavy stuff. If you wish to watch it I would recommend keep the critic side of your brain away and you should enjoy the show.

I would rate it 2.5/5.

If I decide to watch further and it improves, I will definitely  update my post :)

The Walk Movie: Nothing less than a WOW Experience...

#TheWalk  #MovieReviews

WOW! is the first word that comes to mind after watching this movie. Considering it is based on real
life incidence, the film gets even more mesmerizing.

The film is based on real life story of Philippe Petit who walked on a wire between twin towers and is dedicated to the victims on September 11, 2001 attack.

The set up is in France and New York, where a young talented wire walker is obsessed with walking between twin towers. Ever since he sees the picture of twin towers in a magazine he makes it his mission to walk on it. During his journey we see how he forms alliances, how he practises, succeeds and fails. All in all its his persistence and dedication that makes him successful. Mind you it is not easy to stand on the edge of a building of 1400 ft height, let alone walk, turn, lay down and kneel on a wire across 200 ft.

The character of Philippe Petit is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and he did a wonderful job in it. To fulfil a dream as crazy as this one needs dedication and persistence, which in turn converts a man into a arrogant, stubborn mad-man. Levitt did a fabulous job in passing as stubborn mad-man.
All the other characters were okay, they were there to support him and they did fine job.

Overall, movie is a must watch, but only in 3D. The effects and scenic beauty are just mesmerizing. Over years, across all the movies I have watched, this has been the only movie where everyone clapped in the end - And it was well deserved.

My rating - 4.5/5
Loved it. Hope you like it too

Maze Runner - Scorch Trials Movie: My Reviews and Thoughts

#MazeRunner2   #MovieReviews

Being a die-hard fan of Teen Wolf, watching Dylan O'Brian in a movie is a treat.

Maze Runner 1 was an amazing movie, some might say that Maze Runner 2 is
not as good and actually they are right but even when it is not as good as first part, it still is pretty fine watch. People who have read the book are unhappy with the plot, but given I have so far not yet read the series, I am pretty happy with it.

The movie begins from the point where the group of kids including Thomas escape the maze and are rescued by a group of people in a mysterious helicopter. Well, as it was mentioned in the end of first part, the maze was just the beginning and it was very true. The maze was just the beginning, what lies ahead is far more crazy and dangerous. Don't want to spill the beans here but honestly from beginning to end one is at the edge of the seat. Despite watching shows like the walking dead I jumped at least thrice during the movie.

The cranks, people affected by the flare virus, are shown pretty scary. Well, at a point scary is a lighter word for how they attack and behave.

The story flow is pretty good and interesting. The logic and development at few places is praise-worthy.

Overall I liked the movie but there are a few things they could have done better. To start with, it is not a good 3D movie. I would rather watch it in 2D... the effects could have been better...
Also, out of main characters, some have not been introduced properly. All of them have some role to play but when they are spotlight you are a little confused, wondering which one was he?

Apart from these I liked the whole movie. It ended on a cliff-hanger and considering I don't have a patience, I will soon read the all 3 parts.

My rating for the movie will be 3.5/5

Hope you enjoy the movie too

Fantastic Four Movie: My Reviews and thoughts

#Fantastic Four   #MovieReviews

Ahh... what a disappointment... I was so excited when I saw the promo earlier but the movie is
nothing as per expectations...

The movie is very different from its original plot which is kind of interesting. The way they work around finding the new dimension is good but apart from that it has no charm.
The beginning definitely looks promising however from the middle, especially when they all get their powers, it gets on the downside.

The movie has various angles to it and at few points they talk about how everything has a pattern however, in the movie itself there is no significant pattern visible, especially after a point. Things happen without any significance. Also the plot gets really predictable and weak.

The 4 main characters aka fantastic four do not do justice to the original combo in 2005 (well, whether that one was good or not is a separate topic of discussion). Yes the purpose was to show really young people, but the acting and effort is bad. It feels like that few kids have been put together and asked to read lines in some play or act

Also the villain of the movie, the big bad super villain, has no significance. How is he created, how he survives and why is he like this, nothing is answered. Suddenly he crops out of no where and starts killing. Also this big bad scary villain is defeated without a significant effort. In these movies you expect more action, planning and drama, instead whole sequence ended in like 10 minutes, which is a huge disappointment.

The movie serves as a base for upcoming parts, which I hope will be much better than this one.

All in all, if you are a fantastic four fan or a real big super hero fan, this is the movie for you. For rest of us, not so much

My rating - 1.5/5

Hope this helps

5 Post Apocalyptic Shows to Watch...

#TVShows   #Miscellaneous   #MyReviews

These days wherever we see people talk about Apocalypse. 3 years ago everyone predicted and expected Earth to wipe out of the face of the universe, well Thankfully that didn't happen.
Where all these predictions didn't happen, some shows in  Hollywood are making these happen, and some are making them really good.

I agree that there are many shows in which Humans face some kind of apocalypse and try to survive it, but below is the list of 5 shows that I liked out of so many shows I have watched (Yes, I do watch a lot of series and hey don't judge me, I just find time for everything I like in my designated 24 hours :))

1. The Walking Dead
The most talked and popular show as of now in this genre. And trust me it deserve it.
The show revolves around a group of survivors who now everyday deal with 'Zombies'. No one know how it began but they just know that it happened and now they have to survive it.
By just reading above you might compare it with 'Resident Evil' movie series and to start with yes you are right because of theme, but there is no comparison amongst the two. They both are nice but I like The Walking Dead more...
There are a few Pro's and Con's in the show, let's have a look.
Talking about pros of the show, it has an awesome story and graphics. Zombies look so original that some will chill and scare you to your soul. The suspense they create is exceptionally unsettling. And the way they pull off episodes just around one or two characters is amazing. Also, few characters like Daryl and Carol simply steal the show.
In cons, sometimes it gets so gross and violent that it get difficult to stomach. Also I would say the family of lead character, Rick Grimes, is very irritating including himself. They could have done better with these leads, but if we look from different perspective, maybe they are suppose to be irritating. In that case they are simply A-class actors

2. The Last Ship
Its another super cool show. Every episode is epic and different. It revolves around a world where 85% of population is wiped out due to a deadly virus. What makes this virus exceptionally dangerous is that it is air borne. The story revolves around a navy ship which looks for its cure.
Not sure if I did proper justification in explaining the show without spoilers, but it is one show you should not miss.
Looking at pros, there are couple of them. Starting with amazing story line and well placed characters. The whole crew of Nathan James (the US Navy Ship) is brilliant, especially C.O. Tom Chandler and Tex.
For cons I would say Ganderson, she does not do justification to her role, plus, I hate her for the what she did to humans for her 'electricity' and Niels. You would need to watch the show to understand what Niels did

3. The 100
Starting in a space arc and then followed on Earth, this show revolves around survivors of a Nuclear Attack. After a nuclear war, the Earth, as predicted, is inhabitable and survivors live in a space arc. However, the arc is dying and they send 100 children on Earth to find out if Earth is inhabitable or not.
The story revolves around how these children survive from what is left of human kind and how humans fight each other
The pros of the show are the grounders, they are savages but they bring life to the show. The strong characters of Clarke, Lexa, Murphy, Belamy and Octavia are remarkable and make the show worth watching.
In cons, honestly the adults and their rules on their arc is not just ridiculous but also irritating. And worst of character out of all is Thelonious Jaha. I hope the new plot they are bringing up regarding him will make him a little less irritating, although won't count on it... Also the way Finn ended, it was heartbreaking

4. Dominion
The show doesn't revolves around zombies, aliens or viruses, it revolves around Angels. You see in this show God leaves us 25 years ago and now Archangel Gabriel is furious and he unleashes hell on humankind as a punishment. It is based on movie Legion and honestly the show is simply awesome.
The biggest pro is angels. After watching it you would wish you had wings to fly. The concept and plot are very interesting. And the character of Gabriel, twisted yet sympathising, is remarkable
The cons include story of William Whele, we could have lived without that non-sense, hopefully it will build up in coming episodes, else it was a waste. And you would wish that character of Michael could have been a little stronger, however, you start to like him after few episodes. Also, sometimes episodes get a little too complicated but we can live with that.

5. Falling Skies
Here aliens invade Earth and survivors are trying to take it back.
Honestly its 2-3 seasons are really nice, but after that it gets a little weird. After watching 1st episode of Fifth and Final season I have stopped it, simply couldn't accept it in my head. Although I am pretty sure I would get a DVD someday and watch it just for the sake of initial seasons.
The pro of the show is Colonel Weaver, he is the life of the show. Skitters, yes they are the aliens but they rock, I kind of pity them. John Pope, at times he plays bad guy but many times he is the most sensible guy as well. Also in the initial seasons, the lead of the show Tom Mason is pretty good too.
The cons include the off story line after initial seasons, (I might change it after watching Season 5). The overlords concept is simply hanging in midst and Lexi - they went a little too overboard when it came to her.

So here, if you like such series, now you have shows to watch that include zombies, viruses, angels, aliens and nuclear attack.
Choose whichever you prefer, you wont be disappointed

Terminator Genisys Movie: My Reviews and thoughts

#TerminatorGenisys  #myreviews

I was really excited when we got the tickets, but now I have mixed feelings. Honestly not sure if I liked it or not.
Umm what I want to say is that yes it is good but not at par with the expectations.

The movie starts with futuristic view where the usual machines are controlling and dominating human kind and then Kyle Reese double back to past in order to save Sarah Conner. However, there is major twist here. The timeline has altered and the Sarah Conner, that we saw in Terminator's first instalment, is not the same. Instead she is brave soldier, a protégé of a terminator himself. She doesn't need Kyle's protection, she is capable of protecting him instead.
The movie works in multiple timelines where the past, as we know from previous parts, has changed completely and the saviour of the human race is now the saviour of machine's race. Honestly it is a little confusing, also it does not resonates well. I am sure most people who have watched the latest part will say the same.

In terms of characters, no doubts we all waited to see Arnold Schwarzenegger. Man, he is around 67 and still can do epic job in action movies. We also have our Game of Thrones favourite Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) in the movie, she play Sarah Conner and she too did a fine job. Jason Clarke plays John Conner and Jai Courtney played Kyle Reese. In terms of acting all did a 10 on 10 job, however for me Arnie and Khaleesi stole the show.

The graphics are brilliant and 3D effects are cool. Only if they had not modified the plot so much, it would have been the movie of the year...

My rating 3.5/5 for Arnie, Khaleesi and awesome graphics & effects

Hope this helps

Jurassic World Movie: My Reviews and thoughts

#jurassicworld    #myreviews

I have been very excited for this movie ever since I watched its trailer and honestly I am not disappointed. Jurassic world has taken the science fiction adventure to all new different level.

It was a interesting watch and at some places it got a little scary, well you know what I mean, not the ghost scary but chilling your nerves kind. The movie is a pleasure to watch in 3D, in normal 2D it will look like another normal sci-fi but a good 3D will just blow your mind away. The graphics of the movie are simply awesome and not at any place would you feel it's all computerized. Hats off to the team doing this job.

The movie revolves around a theme park which doesn't have normal regular animals but some mind-blowing dinosaurs. It is set in 24 years after the tragedy of 'jurassic park', the movie that was released in 1993 and had set its own new records. If you may say, the story is same, some rogue dinosaur gets on a killing spree and there is chaos and death everywhere. Although the story is in these lines it has been very nicely done. Also I found the end super nice, usually its humans who hunt down the rogue dinosaur, but here 2 dinosaurs fight against each other and its a damn good sight. Also, some of the dinosaurs are so big, it will leave you in the awe.

The characters include Chris Pratt (who trains dinosaurs and actually fights alongside them, it's kindda cool), Bryce Dallas Howard (park manager and harassed aunt of two boys who choose to spend a day in theme park when a dinosaur attacked. She could have had a better hairstyle), Nick Robinson & Ty Simpkins who are the two boys around whom the story revolves. We also have an Indian actor Irrfan Khan, who is the owner of the Jurassic world (honestly very proud to see an actor in such high profile movie. No doubt he is one of the best and he did a fine job in acting but maybe he could have done a better job with his accent, many Indians were not able to understand him, it was a shame)

Overall, if you are a fan of sci-fi movies it is a must watch but only in 3D. Some scenes will make you laugh yes, but most others will freeze you and keep you on the edge of your seat. Don't miss out as you will only regret it watching it on DVD

All in all, a very fine watch, I would rate it as 4/5.

Hope the review helps
